A NEW YEAR.
2017
President-Elect Donald J. Trump, January 20th Inauguration of America's Finest Administration.
A RENEWED AMERICA.
A RESTORED AMERICA.
AN AMERICA READY 2 RESTORE SANITY TO "TheWorld" AWAITING REMOVAL OF the assorted gangsters known to informed Patriots as COVERT/SUBVERSIVE ALINSKY/ISLAMIST INVADERS.
This year begins a re-definition of Global Parent Academy.
Begun in America in 2010...The "global" part is a reconstitution of America's finest thinking and research as parents learn to raise independent critical & creative thinkers actively engaged in being industrious, reliable, reflective, resourceful, and resilient individuals resistant to leftist propaganda & emotional/psychological neutering ...... and the base-lower nature animal "sickness" inherent in islam-as-is (in dire need of serious reform or dissolution) to keep human beings in fear of thinking for themselves and freely expressing truth.
America's ACADEMY PARENTS take the independent, best-of-the-best independent research out into the world globally. This referent to GLOBAL is infused with the values inherent in higher level human beings grown freely within the context of a strong & vital CONSTITUTIONAL AMERICA.
As of January 2, 2017 Palladio University's School of Parenting will begin publishing articles herein in our in-depth examination of Parenting for Higher Order Functioning -shared Globally through Constitutionally-Approved Parenting-Internships.

If you are concerned about the NEXT Generation . . . pass this on You might consider sharing this with your (of age)children................they are the ones who are going to have to deal with this problem.
This, not the Chinese or the Russians, represents the greatest threat to the world and might be the fulfillment of the book of Revelation in the Holy Bible.
Adapted from Dr. Peter Hammond's book: Slavery, Terrorism and Islam: The Historical Roots and Contemporary Threat.
Islam is not a religion, nor is it a cult. In its fullest form, it is a complete, total, 100% system of life.
Islamization begins when there are sufficient Muslims in a country to agitate for their religious privileges.
When politically correct, tolerant, and culturally diverse societies agree to Muslim demands for their religious privileges, some of the other components tend to creep in as well.
Here's how it works:
As
long as the Muslim population remains around or under 2% in any given
country, they will be for the most part be regarded as a peace-loving
minority, and not as a threat to other citizens. This is the case in:
United States -- Muslim 0.6%
Australia -- Muslim 1.5%
Canada -- Muslim 1.9%
China -- Muslim 1.8%
Italy -- Muslim 1.5%
Norway -- Muslim 1.8%
At 2% to 5%, they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups, often with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs. This is happening in:
United States -- Muslim 0.6%
Australia -- Muslim 1.5%
Canada -- Muslim 1.9%
China -- Muslim 1.8%
Italy -- Muslim 1.5%
Norway -- Muslim 1.8%
At 2% to 5%, they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups, often with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs. This is happening in:
Denmark -- Muslim 2%
Germany -- Muslim 3.7%
United Kingdom -- Muslim 2.7%
Spain -- Muslim 4%
Thailand -- Muslim 4.6%
From 5% on, they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population. For example, they will push for the introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature halal on their shelves -- along with threats for failure to comply. This is occurring in:
France -- Muslim 8%
Philippines -- Muslim 5%
Sweden -- Muslim 5%
Switzerland -- Muslim 4.3%
The Netherlands -- Muslim 5.5%
Trinidad & Tobago -- Muslim 5.8%
At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves (within their ghettos) under Sharia, the Islamic Law. The ultimate goal of Islamists is to establish Sharia law over the entire world.
When Muslims approach 10% of the population, they tend to increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions. In Paris , we are already seeing car-burnings. Any non-Muslim action offends Islam and results in uprisings and threats, such as in Amsterdam , with opposition to Mohammed cartoons and films about Islam. Such tensions are seen daily, particularly in Muslim sections in:
Guyana -- Muslim 10%
India -- Muslim 13.4%
Israel -- Muslim 16%
Kenya -- Muslim 10%
Russia -- Muslim 15%
After reaching 20%, nations can expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings, and the burnings of Christian churches and Jewish synagogues, such as in:
Ethiopia -- Muslim 32.8%
At 40%, nations experience widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks, and ongoing militia warfare, such as in:
Bosnia -- Muslim 40%
Chad -- Muslim 53.1%
Lebanon -- Muslim 59.7%
From 60%, nations experience unfettered persecution of non-believers of all other religions (including non-conforming Muslims), sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon, and Jizya, the tax placed on infidels, such as in:
Albania -- Muslim 70%
Malaysia -- Muslim 60.4%
Qatar -- Muslim 77.5%
Sudan -- Muslim 70%
After 80%, expect daily intimidation and violent jihad, some State-run ethnic cleansing, and even some genocide, as these nations drive out the infidels, and move toward 100% Muslim, such as has been experienced and is on-going in:
Bangladesh -- Muslim 83%
Egypt -- Muslim 90%
Gaza -- Muslim 98.7%
Indonesia -- Muslim 86.1%
Iran -- Muslim 98%
Iraq -- Muslim 97%
Jordan -- Muslim 92%
Morocco -- Muslim 98.7%
Pakistan -- Muslim 97%
Palestine -- Muslim 99%
Syria -- Muslim 90%
Tajikistan -- Muslim 90%
Turkey -- Muslim 99.8%
United Arab Emirates -- Muslim 96%
100% will usher in the peace of 'Dar-es-Salaam' -- the Islamic House of Peace. Here there's supposed to be peace, because everybody is a Muslim, the Madrasses are the only schools, and the Koran is the only word, such as in:
Afghanistan -- Muslim 100%
Saudi Arabia -- Muslim 100%
Somalia -- Muslim 100%
Yemen -- Muslim 100%
Unfortunately, peace is never achieved, as in these 100% states the most radical Muslims intimidate and spew hatred, and satisfy their blood lust by killing less radical Muslims, for a variety of reasons.
'Before I was nine, I had learned the basic canon of Arab life. It was me against my brother; me and my brother against our father; my family against my cousins and the clan; the clan against the tribe; the tribe against the world, and all of us against the infidel. -- Leon Uris,'The Haj'
It is important to understand that in some countries, with well under 100% Muslim populations, such as France, the minority Muslim populations live in ghettos, within which they are 100% Muslim, and within which they live by Sharia Law. The national police do not even enter these ghettos. There are no national courts, nor schools, nor non-Muslim religious facilities. In such situations, Muslims do not integrate into the community at large. The children attend madrasses. They learn only the Koran. To even associate with an infidel is a crime punishable with death. Therefore, in some areas of certain nations, Muslim Imams and extremists exercise more power than the national average would indicate.
Today's 1.5 billion Muslims make up 22% of the world's population. But their birth rates are higher than the birth rates of Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, Jews, and all other believers. Muslims will exceed 50% of the world's population by the end of this century.
Well, boys and girls, today we are letting the fox guard the hen house. The wolves will be herding the sheep!
NOTE: Has anyone ever heard a new government official being identified as a devout Catholic, a devout Jew or a devout Protestant...? Just wondering.
Devout Muslims being appointed to critical Homeland Security positions? Doesn't this make you feel safer already?? That should make the United States much safer, huh!!

Was it not "Devout Muslim men" that flew planes into U.S. buildings
only 11 years ago?
We must never forget this. Was it not a Devout Muslim man who killed 13 at Fort Hood ? (He killed "From within" -don't forget that).
Also: This is very interesting and we all need to read it from start to finish. Maybe this is why our American Muslims are so quiet and not speaking out about any atrocities. Can a good Muslim be a good American? This question was forwarded to a friend who worked in Saudi Arabia for 20 years. The following is his reply:
Theologically - no. Because his allegiance is to Allah, The moon God of Arabia
Religiously - no. Because no other religion is accepted by His Allah except Islam (Quran, 2:256)(Koran)
Scripturally - no. Because his allegiance is to the five Pillars of Islam and the Quran.
Geographically - no. Because his allegiance is to Mecca , to which he turns in prayer five times a day.
Socially - no. Because his allegiance to Islam forbids him to make friends with Christians or Jews..
Politically - no. Because he must submit to the mullahs (spiritual leaders), who teach annihilation of Israel and destruction of America , the great Satan.
Domestically - no. Because he is instructed to marry four Women and beat and scourge his wife when she disobeys him (Quran 4:34)
Intellectually - no. Because he cannot accept the American Constitution since it is based on Biblical principles and he believes the Bible to be corrupt.
Philosophically - no. Because Islam, Muhammad, and the Quran do not allow freedom of religion and expression. Democracy and Islam cannot co-exist. Every Muslim government is either dictatorial or autocratic.
Spiritually - no. Because when we declare 'one nation under God,' the Christian's God is loving and kind, while Allah is NEVER referred to as Heavenly father, nor is he ever called love in The Quran's 99 excellent names.
Therefore, after much study and deliberation... Perhaps we should be very suspicious of ALL MUSLIMS in this country. They obviously cannot be both 'good' Muslims and good Americans. Call it what you wish, it's still the truth. You had better believe it. The more who understand this, the better it will be for our country and our future. The religious war is bigger than we know or understand.
Can a Muslim be a good soldier???
Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, opened fire at Ft. Hood and Killed 13. He is a good Muslim!!!
Footnote: The Muslims have said they will destroy us from within.

Response to a writer (JW) from The Elephant Journal
We each and all need daily hugs, JenniferW...but so many need to birth and nurture our deeper more-informed human capacities to respond beyond self-entertainment and superficial thought. Adolescence is destined as the stage that bridges a gradual awakening from self-absorption to a civilization consciousness that calls for our time and talent.
Look at cultures world-wide. Then look at ours ... where growing up has been overly delayed...to the extent that the developmental door has actually shut keeping biological adults as offspring living still within the fabricated womb of MomDad throughout our most potentially prolific twenties and early thirties.
Preference for idle-living amidst parental lifetime-earned luxuries ... rather than risk spreading our own self-reliant wings within our very own self-generated tiny room, hovel or tent is manufactured, not inherent. Not natural.
Not organic.
Instead it reveals a cultivated "softness" whose primordial scream has been philosophically muffled. Manufactured. Woodrow Wilsonized. GMOed. Capacity to self-generate our inborn self-reliance, DNAed since inception, and launched full blast since our terrible twos has been intentionally stifled. Under the guise of an oxymoron misnamed methinks intentionally as "progressivism." Who could argue with those terms? That guise? Progressive for whom?
Time for a really serious change (not more of the same).
Stymied and truncated potentials kept trapped in self-absorbed adolescent awareness is like Alice fully fallen down the rabbit-hole, the trap-door slammed shut. Oxygen-compromised, Alice becomes mesmerized by her own image in the mirror. Our world needs grown-ups ... all grown-ups informed with the hard facts of life in other places. Europe is in fact now in dire straits from the uncontained spread of serious suffering levied from malicious error-thought. I encourage us to read and write from consciousness-raising non-fiction of Arizona physician, Dr. Zuhdi Jasser and AIFD. Jasser's writing illuminates the wisdom of Mahatma Gandhi, "Non-cooperation with evil is as much a duty as is cooperation with good."

HOW TO "Congratulate" our GRADUATES!
We congratulate our youngsters for engaging how to activate and to sustain civilization's
TRAILS TO ACCOMPLISHMENT!
You followed the yellow brick road discovered under your feet...
Heeded the encouragement of Care-filled Voices inviting you to risk stepping further...
Absorbed the persistent efforting felt from Grandparents, Parents, Aunts and Uncles filling your life...
Tried on the many models of "how to do it" around you in society ...
Questioned, introspected, pondered, and pulled inspiration from the Graces Surrounding you...
Put your nose to grindstones, each so different...
Bent over and gathered up and re-assessed Each Time's fallen pieces ...
Set your sights anew, allowing renewal of your Spirit...
Jumped in to "give it a go" over and over and over again...
This Recipe for Success worked...
Just look where you are today...
Turn your head to glance how far you've come...
Look around to those standing in their many forms with you now...
Thank each one...and thank yourself...
Enjoy fully the fruits of this day celebrating...
Know that soon enough you will repack your Recipe ...
Taking it with you as you once again move out into a wider world awaiting!
Grace will be lighting your way...
And Our BEST WISHES trail behind you.
We congratulate our youngsters not for simply being on the planet, in our lives, in their classrooms, no more than we would congratulate ourselves for breathing, eating, sleeping, wishing.
We congratulate our youngsters for engaging our civilization's future!
We congratulate our youngsters for making it happen.
We congratulate our youngsters for practicing and enduring civilization's trails and trials experienced when any of us activate and sustain ourselves as we also learn to give back to the civilization that sustains us.
We congratulate our young for effecting the TRAILS of ACCOMPLISHMENT.

What's Radical Islam? and TERROR? ...and How to we keep America (and Planet Earth) SAFE???
Look to the end of this email for YouTube clips ...with some explanation of why I included them for parents/grandparents with children/youth
Interviews are very important to watch together so you can discuss how and why US liberties (guaranteed by our very unique "Constitution" implementated by a uniquely sovereign-States, a" Republic" form of government) are seriously jeopardized under a "culture" that believes the Executive branch (of any political group) has no real limits... and how the islamists' still-ancient culture is fighting fast & furiously to gain hold on members of the United States government.
Kids needs to know that we never really see what someone's made of ("know" someone) until we live with them behind closed doors...and they can "look" fine from the outside, but not be fine on the inside. That's why it's most important for Dad, Mom, Gramps & Gram to check out your friends and your friends' parents and what houses you go into: there are sociopaths (Go 2 the dictionary) who figure out what good/innocent people (especially younger, less informed people) want to hear to make us trust "automatically" without thinking, inspecting, noticing more details, and asking questions...lots of questions.
THIS is why children need to obey/depend upon Family Adults keeping them safe/informing them discussing with them...reading to learn about and checking out details about the wiley ways of amoral people (those who don't feel bad about preying upon the innocent and the ignorant).
Sociopath in the NEWS LATELY>>>As the Ariel Castro-types (Cleveland) even find jobs as bus drivers because people in workplaces have gotten lazy...don't check backgrounds sufficiently. Ariel Castro's neighborhood even thought he was an "ordinary" guy because he played in bands, played salsa music with them at barbecues and ate ribes together. Most of America watches ordinary news programs (NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN) that doesn't even report the news daily if it makes Obama's Guys look bad: Obama has run guns through Turkey to support the Muslim Brotherhood (Father of Al Qaeda!!!) to overtake the governments of Libya, Tunisia, Egypt, Syria, and infiltrating now the struggling Kingdom of Jordan.
Adults please help kids find an online map of the Middle East so s/he can see where our only legal ally (Israel) lives ... surrounded by Terrorist SAUDI-funded countries...that keep their people impoverished so that their young men are angry and deprived enough to seek personal/family esteem by becoming suicide bombers. Jihad is advised by these radicalized muslim countries through their imams, mullahs, sheiks, royal princes, and king abdullah. Islamists preach "jihad" (dictionary) against all of our Western Civilizations in their madrassas (schools), mosques, in personal and online preaching. (You can both find these captured and rebroadcasted via YouTube.)
Please, show kids where Turkey is...which is the "home" of the last "Caliphate"...which was finally stopped by armies in VIENNA, AUSTRIA (1698) from slaughtering or converting the rest of "Europe" to Islam. ...................Consider that the "Crusades" began because the Islamists had been slaughtering all Christians traveling to Jerusalem for religious pilgrimage. Back in those times there were no printing presses... in those days...no books, no tv, no internet...the "educated" people (who could read and write) were mostly clergy (dictionary). They also served as the book-makers...copying ancient scripts to share and educate from. (The invention of the PRINTING PRESS made enormous changes for cultures...like INTERNET has for us in the past twenty years.)
To see the original birth and living place of Christ ...with the original scripts and scrolls, the more fortunate people (on Planet Earth way back then) travelled to the real place to see first-hand the temples and scriptures and Garden of Gethsemane for themselves...then came back and taught their village people. Radical Islam became very powerful from the 7th century through 1600's because the MECCA VERSES made peeps believe that Mohammed wanted them to slaughter anyone who wasn't muslim, so they would slay the men and take the women to make babies with then overpopulate each area ...teaching the kids in madrassas while the women were made to be silent-covered-up-servant/brides (essentailly women are slaves to men under radical muslim law), and children are raised from their earliest years to fear/hate/lie to all non-muslims. They taught that the only people to speak the truth to are muslims. Lying, but pretending telling the truth, is called TAQIYYA. Lying by "living a lie" is called MARUNA.
Here are educational YouTubes to watch:

Tom about actually teachings of Christ...Catholics...Judeo-Christian Traditions...and pop culture not knowing (e.g. Rosie O'Donnell) the difference between the The Taliban and treatment of women (vs "modesty" advised by Christians,Jews, Hindus, Buddhists)
3. http://youtu.be/dbz2ZC59_yw (Female Arab Psychiatrist clarifies islamists' hatred against women progressed by Koran...she has been persecuted for speaking out.)
4. http://youtu.be/Ssiut47wUSg (Very little girl in Saudi Arabia being indoctrinated and taught to hate all Jewish people.)
5. http://youtu.be/Ssiut47wUSg (Boys learning Koran verses in Africa...Somalia is one of the most brutal islamist nations who our government accepts as "immigrants" here...our schools up in Utica are filled with immigrant-students from Somalia who live on our tax-payers' money and openly hate Americans...refuse to learn in our classrooms, fighting with our teachers and American children. Certainly, we ask then, "Why come to US if you don't want to participate, learn about US, join with US?" The Answer: Islamists have "Settlement Plans" for all Western nations...using our too-tolerant immigration laws, and our generous desire to help improve everyone's lives. We must stop this: our country going bankrupt from allowing so many in who not only don't work but use our money inviting more of their family and friends to immigrate too. If America is to survive, we need to accept only people who appreciate liberty for all, have skills they desire to contribute, learn our ways and our language because they too work hard to support Lady Liberty's Constitution and Bill of Rights.

ZUHDI JASSER...AN AMERICAN PATRIOTIC MUSLIM WHO EDUCATES OUR CONGRESS about rdical islam and started AIFD for all muslims and non-muslims who appreciate our United State's Constitution and Rights: Speaking truth even if a group of people don't like to hear the truth about them (because it is in fact ugly and harmful to others) ... but they don't want others to KNOW THAT.
You can find Dr. Zuhdi Jasser (and AIFD) on Facebook, Twitter...AIFD has a growing program for children to learn about Liberty, Rights, and how to reform the 7th Century-old Islam stories/writing.

Sunday School ...for Global Parents
I just attended an inspiring presentation on Prosperity...realizing prosperity, cultivating prosperity. One important take-away from mindfulness prosperity practice? When we pay any bill, experience/express gratefulness for having each dollar we have to pay that particular bill!
- Thank the source of the money we have available to put back into circulation.
- Thank ourselves for getting up each day to engage in the work that earns that money.
- Thank the system of currency exchange now available
- Then steward our co-creative powers ...in our mind's eye elevate it to a Higher Power, expand it's capacity to align ever more closely with honor, goodness (GODNESS), and claim every capacity to change for the better of our race, The Human Race.
Our devotion and commitment to our role, as students and practitioners of Global Parenting, fuel desire to expand application of all good learning to other arenas. So we are encouraged to transfer the prosperity lesson above to being appreciation of the our toddler's TERRIFIC TWO'S:
- Thank your toddler for demonstrating a sense of industry and passion when s/he wants to exert power over matters and material in his/her environment: match this level of passion with gratefulness:"Thank you for caring so much! Thank you for wanting to do this work! Let me help you even more: Watch how we can do it even more easily": (demonstrate).
- Thank our toddlers for getting up each day with energy and enthusiasm to engage his/her self-chosen work of being one and two and three...later his/her engagement in the work will earn money accordingly! (If you find you must take them from their work because of a higher order priority they are too young to understand, acknowledge the goodness of their desire. Tell them when you will bring them back to it, make time for it, do it together. Their desires are big deals. Honor their passion for active engagement. It is the bud of productivity!!!
- Thank your genes for working well in your progeny! You are witnessing a system of currency exchange now in active development. Handle it with care, matched passion, gratitude. Be true to your promise: when you tell a child you will take responsibility for getting them back later to their "work," do it! They model your trustworthiness, straightforwardness, steadfastness. Make these characteristics part of you family system.
- Then steward your co-creative powers ...in your mind's eye elevate your child's interest and zeal to a Higher Power, expand it's capacity to align ever more closely with honor, goodness (GODNESS), and claim every capacity to change for the better of our race, The Human Race.

How does our engagement in work serve our development? society?
Recasting our "Terrible Twos"
So what happens within a perfectly born person who doesn't learn to fully engage a worklife?
at something valuable to himself?
to her family?
our neighborhoods?
our nation?
the world?
Humans beings display an inherent sense of INDUSTRY by age two. We allude to "the terrible twos" in our culture ... because toddlers want to do everything for themselves.
We need culturally to make a firm shift in parenting perceptions, ..and words:
this event in human development is not "terrible" it is in fact marvelous, monumental, psychosocially "on track," and to be welcomed, respected, nourished, honored.
So what happens within a perfectly born person who doesn't learn to fully engage a worklife?
at something valuable to himself?
to her family?
our neighborhoods?
our nation?
the world?

Film Recommendation! Something Borrowed
Filmed in NYC, this romantic comedy has a very important lesson: sometimes we "borrow" a relationship...we don't know anything exists that is actually more powerful/authentic, convenience, flattery, boredom, status quo/expectations, to please someone else/not hurt an other's feelings.
Darcy borrows...Dex borrows...Rachel allows everyone to borrow from her, until she gets how wrong that becomes for everyone involved. All Palladio Big Sisters have several options this upcoming week for c-viewing and debriefing re use of this film as a resource with your little Jane Eyre sisters. Consortium and Council Circles have posted reflections and responses and suggestions for your facilitation.
Please, see their websites for further information.

Calling All Global Parents for Applications
Dear Stakeholders!
Our school community is accepting applications now for membership on the R&D Council. Mail applications to sb2822@columbia.edu. Parameters for the MICROLAB follow in a letter to Friends:
Friends,
Our school community is accepting applications now for membership on the R&D Council. Mail applications to sb2822@columbia.edu. Parameters for the MICROLAB follow in a letter to Friends:
Friends,
I commend your leadership team for writing a clear and specific set of recommendations that seem well-linked to the data (I did not read the original report, nor of course seen the actual data, nor been privy to how the data was gathered). What I recommend to you is a most effective model that fosters collaborative on-going research and clinical practice by all stakeholders (faculty, administration, parents, and students):
- request a team assembled of all stakeholders (students, parents, teachers, administrators: only those intimately engaged with classroom learning and instruction)
- this team sets up a Clinic Classroom (CC) designed to model positive/cooperative practices by each population of the stakeholders
- the content of the classroom might be a course in study skills (pertinent to any content course)
- any teacher or administrator can use CC to model pedagogy (preceded by a brief written proposal/interview with team's "OK")
- any student can offer to participate in the planning, design, learning experience (preceded by a brief written proposal/interview with team's "OK")
- any parent, community adult, student, or teacher can observe CC practices (preceded by a brief written proposal/interview with team's "OK")
- CC would also provide any stakeholder an opportunity to gather students, design curriculum, and select pedagogy to experimentation/revision/instructional learning on an on-going basis.
- CC can begin small and grow organically as needed (i.e. take place during he lunch period times to allow for the greatest number of teachers and students to participate/create the CC climate and content
- CC becomes then a kind of MICROLAB for collaborative study of all stakeholders by all the stakeholders ...thus fostering unity, on-going research, and the truth about education:a collaborative process among all the stakeholders, rather than a "hierarchy" public education must acknowledge the essential interdependence among each stakeholder population, and that any human endeavor improves only overtime with concerted efforts that design-deliver-disassemble-design to deliver again!
- Education is all about learning and updating. The human climate must welcome risk-taking, respect for each, on-going dialogue and development of all stakeholders. It must be free of bureaucratic controls.

So what is colic?
So what is colic?
The article recommends the Rule of 3 suggested in the fifties...hree are the three questions:
Is the infant crying at least three consecutive hours/day?
for at least three days each week?
for at least three weeks?
Are some parents inclined to self-diagnose "colic" for crying that is normal (but seems to be "excessive" from the parents' viewpoint)?
This article gives clear indicators for parents to review.

Children Learn What They Live, by Dorothy Law Nolte, Ph.D. in 1972
In 1972, Dorothy Law Nolte, Ph.D. published a treatise, a manifesto that is elegant: brilliance, simply and directly expressed.
For me across time, it became a touchstone for raising healthy, resourceful, intentional children at home and in my classrooms later. Across the decades, I have too often seen Dr. Nolte's treatise published anonymously... even posted on the office door of another professor at a reputable city college -as if it was his idea...
Clearly, his students could too readily believe this original expression of "Aha" thoughts belonged to their professor. Each time I passed his office door, I imagined Dorothy Nolte's name inscribed below the uncredited writing. I was tempted to leave the guy a note; maybe however he believed such magnificent wisdom expressed was truly anonymous... and never considered searching further.

From forty-five years of experience knowing the intensely devoted lives of classroom teachers, I wouldn't be surprised if Dorothy Nolte had practiced this craft before earning her Ph.D.
- She clearly speaks from depth and breadth of experience.
- Her authorship of brilliant work continues too often to go unacknowledged.
- She has quietly taken a back seat in the world since publishing this masterpiece -she has likely been much too busy walking her talk to look over her shoulder at what others are doing (or not doing) on behalf of her professional world.
And I find myself wondering if her doctorate was earned in the field of Child Development. I have changed the font in a few entries below to highlight them, to give us focus for pondering further, in later posts. I wonder which entries you find evidence for in your work today with the children in your charge.
I will research such questions for us later, but now ... enjoy the wisdom Dorothy expressed for us committed to master our craft as Global Parents!
Children Learn What They Live
If children live with criticism, they learn to condemn.
If children live with hostility, they learn to fight.
If children live with fear, they learn to apprehensive.
If children live with pity, they learn to feel sorry for themselves.
If children live with ridicule, they learn to shy.
If children live with jealousy, they learn to feel envy.
If children live with shame, they learn to feel guilty.
If children live with encouragement, they learn confidence.
If children live with tolerance, they learn patience.
If children live with praise, they learn appreciation.
If children live with acceptance, they learn to love.
If children live with approval, they learn to like themselves.
If children live with recognition, they learn it is good to have a goal.
If children live with sharing, they learn generosity.
If children live with honesty they learn truthfulness.
If children live with fairness they learn justice.
If children live with kindness and consideration, they learn respect.
If children live with security, they learn to have faith in themselves and in those about them.
If children live with friendliness, they learn the world is a nice place in which to live.
P.S.
In my work with kids, I have found Nolte's conditional statements become social algorithms. They serve as simple diagnostic and team planning guides to readily address some common attitudinal/behavioral problems children present.
For instance if a child is kindness-challenged, the experiential antidote more often than not is explicit teaching and guided experiences in the development of authentic and pervasive human respect. Lack of appropriate learning in the respect department results in lopsided social dynamics.
When exploring the child's fuller social history, we are likely to find false and unbalanced kinds of respect practiced at home, or witnessed repeatedly in the neighborhood: some people are accorded high respect while others are demeaned, or overlooked, or invisible.
Instead, " If children live with kindness and consideration, they learn respect." Unless the real needs and strengths of all beings (each kind) in our social environments are honorably considered, fairly acknowledged, appreciated for their unique contributions/character, a lopsided sense of importance and worthiness is palpable, absorb-able.
Instead of learning the value of interdependence through the practice of kindness and consideration, a sense of hierarchy is absorbed. Hierarchy is absorbed by children (whose practices, unchecked, strengthen into adulthood) because such a lopsided model of dominance and control is in fact practiced in social environments which are less interpersonally/intrapersonally oriented. There are many primitive (and ancient) cultures that are (were) advanced in such orientation. We would do well to study these with our children, and model these in our homes, neighborhoods, schools, and marketplace.

Guidance Consortium Report: A Classic Awakening among Palladio High School Girls
Just one year ago, Palladio International Campus celebrated our first New Year's Eve Gala. Open invitations extended to every member -young and old- in our Global Families Network! This remarkable occasion generated several notable landmark initiatives. Here we recount just one of them:
This memorable night began it's luminous tone and intention early in the day...
.....All ages and stages of our great family strolled on the vast network of the paths spread throughout our beloved Central Park. An easy flow of delighted visitors reminded many of five years earlier when the park hosted the Saffron Artist. Our well-trained youth ambassadors, escorted by their Canine Walking Companions, stopped to answer visitor questions about the Fair in the City, about Palladio International Academies, about the Ambassador program at Palladio.
.....Research activities at our Fair in the City allowed members of the general public to release a balloon into the air over Central Park if they enjoyed their engagement at the colorful booths and banners affirming our mission and purposes. Our mission inherently networks all ages and career stages... Jeffersonian style ... on organically expanding campuses around the perimeter of Central Park.
Later this night, atop the golden sheen of two hundred year old oak floors, Nelson Riddle voiced a term none of us have heard since we were in high school reading the classics. Across the ballroom, the sudden appearance of a scantily clad high school female attracted a swarm of giggling U.S. students. Scanning the room, Dr. Riddle noticed that our international students continued in conversation and dance with their dates. Observing this dramatic discrepancy, Dr. Riddle marked the magical moment of truth, "Seems we have failed our Little Women in this relatively young country - with our focus on physical prowess, over character, over intelligence, over unity."
Stunned, we stood still -ten of us! What he had just said, rang true -and we needed to know more, that very night. Nelson led us through the text he had just reviewed as a member of his cultural research team. A spell-binding narrator as well as clinician and researcher, Dr. Riddle described the landmark scene between an enlightened mother and her four daughters. Marmee cautioned and redirected their temptation to sink into vanity with its emphasis on popularized physical beauty ...rather than rely for self-esteem on their intelligence and character practices.
"Like Marmee's Little Women, our nation's little women have much to learn about deriving their inherent value from outside themselves...from secularized and popularized standards almost unattainable without making themselves sick in mind, in heat, and for the very unfortunate segment -sick in body as well! The wise mother expresses her fear for their future..." if you feel your value lies in being purely decorative."
She further clarifies the problem need correcting: "I wont have my girls being silly over boys..."
Dr. Riddle shared research from hundreds of interviews contrasting U. S female child-rearing practices and cultural expectations with those young women from other continents:
"We need parents, teachers, the neighborhood and the marketplace to strategically determine organic ways of cultivating the natural beauty inherent in each child.
"Everyone must be on board to unveil her inherent beauty ...that mirrored in her demeanor, the way she thinks about herself, and affirm deep value in each female child -as a thinker, feeler, creator, healer, prime contributor to the health of our global society.
"We must research and revisit, generate if need be, programs that help her reflect her inner beauty in her speech, tone, word choice, choice of clothing and adornments, what she allows herself to consume, engage, participate in, accrue, think and express.
"On the whole, our international Little Women are clearly more advanced in self-respect, self-regard, and authentic self-confidence...and they have much to teach and model for our Little Women across this nation.
"So far we've conducted five hundred forty-three clinical interviews. A key element missing from interviews with females from the other continents is an early and pervasive focus on comparing physical self to other females in the media and personal encounters. Their developmental stories reveal a preponderance of the "decorative archetype."
"Girls from the US have for decades now felt social pressure to focus on their physical appearance over cognitive characteristics and character (including emotional development). These results bring to mind a series of compelling linesincorporated by author Louisa May Alcott challenging the "property value" of women during this period of time:
For the rest of this New Year evening into early morning, the ten of us crafted our primary draft that became 12PowerLittleWomen-for high school age females. Our position paper is based upon research results that Dr. Riddle shared from his consortium's data collection so far, and his clinical interviews as resident school psychologist at Palladio's Dairy.
In conclusion, we want our Little Women not to beg: "...give me the streets of Manhattan...", but to rebuild these streets, sidewalks, bridges, thinking, and creating of Manhattan and beyond. Live and learn and generate in such ways that all little women are free to walk confidently, respectfully, co-creatively, and responsibly together with their brothers, fathers, husbands, partners, co-workers, mothers, sisters, and children -living their dreams in the home, neighborhood, marketplace, global society.

Attachment Rupture
Helping Baby Sleep (See Palladio end of term report 12/22/10),
p. 84
re babies' brains "left swimmining in stress hormones" and don't recieve the reinforcement of re-attunement with parents during and following a stressful experience in the new world they have entered.
Goldi noted during Saturday's family dinner at the Boathouse: "We shouldn't be surprised that parents feel tremendous anxiety at the start of the military nature of csellp training...for heaven's sake our natural compulsion biologically speaking is to protect andcomfort our offspring...not separate from them and allow themselves to wail themselves into a toxic chemical stupor."
...Hurray, Goldi! You never mince words. "From God's mouth to Goldi's ears..." Ora proclaimed into the microphone over waves of applause.

Parents seeking peace of mind? Delve into Natural and Logical Consequences ...it will be worth your time!
Natural and logical consequences date back to Haim Ginott in the sixties
...his wisdom is shared from decades of studying children's thinking and behaving. Parents and teachers seeking need a basic, simple, and effective principle for developing children's capacity to make informed choices habitually. Natural and logical consequences evokes a child's ability to think and choose.
Haim Ginott is a classic in the field of child psychology. His guidance flows from what is currently today best practices from wide knowledge bases: child development, attachment theory, self-efficacy, and neuropsychology. The principle of natural and logical consequences operates in the home and classroom as simply and effectivly as that basic invention, the wheel!
The wheel works across time, because it fits reality. It's organic, it flows from reality. The same is true of natural consequences, which evolve into use of logical consequences. Better than coddling, excusing, overlooking, or pretending with kids. "Reality therapy" is what Haim Ginott called this application of his life's work with kids. He encouraged parents and teachers to use reality therapy with kids at home and in school. If we all followed his advice consistently, we might have been able to purchase condos on the moon by now!
Just the same, as I sift through the new books for those who develop youth, I am glad to see some authors returning to the classics. And newbies to parenting and teaching are finding that too many babies were tossed out with the bathwater. Strategies, based on principles that form from solid knowledge of child development work here and now because they make sense...did then, do now!
Take a look at Rules in School. Encourage parents to visit the Global Parent Academy blogspot to learn how to practice these tried and true strategies at home!

Helping Kids Stay with It
When a series of chores or tasks needs completion, making a numbered list facilitates action because
- we can read what needs to be accomplished in order to alot the time needed
- a list let's us know what is expected from start to finish ... so we can ask clarifying questions before we even begin
- a list lets us know what is expected from start to finish ... so our mind can begin rehearsing each step and linking them one after the other in our minds
- a list let's us know what is expected from start to finish ... so we can predict when we will be done (and begin already to relish that experience of completion)!
- a list becomes our anchor (the place we come back to after we complete each step) ...so we don't need to hold all the items in our mind (which interfers with being fully present during a task)
- if we get distracted at any point, and go off-task, we have a place to come home to...Our List!
- after each completion, we can enjoy highlighting, checking, or crossing it off ... indicating accomplishment. This builds awareness of self-efficacy!
- after each completion: highlighing, checking, or crossing it off -can build to our sense of order
- order and accomplishment enhances our self trust
- self trust builds self-esteem ... leading us to set realistic goals
